Nominations closing soon for Mercury Awards

The Mercury Awards, celebrating Australia’s logistics operators working to improve the industry’s visibility, reputation and future prosperity are calling for nominees.

Submitting a nomination for the Mercury Awards is a great way to acknowledge recent success within your company.

Materials handling, logistics and supply chain management touch on almost every aspect of our daily lives, though the supply chain industry’s true scope and economic potential is regularly undervalued.

Nominations will soon close for;

  • Supply chain innovator of the year – Sponsored by NVHR 

Recognises an Australian company working to disrupt the supply chain industry by demonstrated capabilities to offer innovation in at least one of the following areas: environment and sustainability, productivity, efficiency and speed, cost-saving, safety, traceability.

  • Best technology application 

A technology designed to enhance the logistics and materials handling sector that has demonstrated how the technology improves logistics and materials handling efficiency and cost-saving in at least one of the following areas: environment, production outputs, safety.

  • Sustainability initiative award 

A project or program that enhances sustainability in the logistics and materials handling industry that can demonstrate practicality of project or program, with example/s of implementation or usage to be included that differ to other projects.

  • Freight transport solution of the year 

A solution for the movement of freight across land and/or sea, by any method, that has enhanced practicality with at least one case study of a customer experience, including outcomes achieved in at least one of the following: efficiency, traceability, cost-saving, environment. 

  • Best storage solution 

A solution for storage in the logistics and materials handling sector that has enhanced practicality with at least one case study of a customer experience, including outcomes achieved in at least one of the following: efficiency, space-saving, cost-saving.  

  • Contribution to industry award 

Recognising an outstanding contribution to the field of logistics and materials handling. This category is not open for nomination.

Finalists will be announced on Friday March 6 2020 and the winners will be announced at MEGATRANS Melbourne on April 2nd this year.
