Owen Webb, Special Counsel – HFW

Owen is a Legal Director in the Commodities team and also works closely with the Shipping department. He has broad experience acting on behalf of clients in relation to contentious and non-contentious matters concerning the international sale and carriage of goods. Owen specialises in the sale and purchase of commodities, logistics, ancillary contracts of carriage (including bills of lading, charterparties and contracts of affreightment), sanctions laws and vessel arrest. He has acted on behalf of clients in numerous court and arbitral proceedings, including before GAFTA, GTA, LMAA and SIAC. He regularly acts for commodity trading houses, insurers, port infrastructure owners and users, shipping companies and vessel charterers, among other entities operating in the trade, transport and energy sectors.
