Phil Smith, First Assistant Secretary Data, Analytics and Policy Division – Department of Infrastructure

Phil is the First Assistant Secretary for Data, Analytics and Policy Division and is responsible for delivery of the Departments Data Strategy, oversight of the departments economic analysis, research and statistic Bureau. Prior to this Phil led the Department’s Infrastructure Investment Division which is responsible for delivery of the Australian Government’s infrastructure Investment pipeline. Phil also has over 15 years experience in leading commercial reviews, oversighting and providing advice in relation to major infrastructure projects and Government Business Enterprises including National Broadband Network, Western Sydney Airport, the Australian Rail Track Corporation and Moorebank Intermodal Company.
